Gazzebo Marketplace Nears Public Debut, Aims to Kill Spreadsheet-Driven TMC RFPs
Corporate-travel procurement start-up Gazzebo said on July 22 that it is preparing to exit early-access mode “within weeks,” bringing its structured, live-data marketplace for travel-management-company sourcing to the wider market. CEO Jeff Urban told Business Travel News that more than 40 TMCs have populated detailed capability profiles and that a Fortune 50 enterprise is already running a pilot sourcing event through the platform. Gazzebo lets buyers filter TMCs by country coverage, servicing model and tech stack, then invites shortlisted providers into a data-rich bid rather than traditional narrative proposals. The platform is free for buyers; suppliers pay for access. A new accommodation-sourcing module will follow in Q4, Urban added. Global-mobility programmes that manage expatriate travel or VIP move logistics stand to benefit: granular data on after-hours service, visa-desk expertise and relocation add-ons can be surfaced instantly, shortening RFP cycles. Procurement teams, however, should prepare to harmonise Gazzebo data feeds with existing ERP systems to keep approval workflows intact.
