Firms with supply chains running from Lomé through northern Benin to Niger should anticipate delays at the Hillacondji and Kraké crossings. Insurance brokers report that kidnap-and-ransom premiums for assignments north of Djougou have doubled since January; project budgets need to be adjusted accordingly.
