At DXB, flydubai scrubbed FZ816 to Abha and Air India Express pulled IX431 to Kochi, while multiple Emirates wide-bodies—among them EK305 to Shanghai and EK505 to Mumbai—left an hour or more behind schedule. Zayed International reported fewer cancellations but noted knock-on delays to long-haul US flights EY016 (Charlotte) and EY008 (Boston). Airports stressed that causes ranged from conflict-related air-traffic reroutes to routine technical issues, underlining the need for passengers to monitor airline notifications even after checking in. They also encouraged the use of airline apps and the UAE’s new multi-airport flight-status portal, which aggregates data for DXB, AUH, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. For mobility managers moving expatriates in and out of the Emirates, the granular data help optimise airport transfers and duty-of-care communications. Companies should remind travellers to maintain updated contact details with airlines and to keep onward visa or residence-permit validity in mind when rebooking, as overstays caused by delayed departures still incur fines under UAE immigration law.
