Aircraft must therefore disconnect from fixed ground power and push back before works commence. While Heathrow says Fixed Electrical Ground Power (FEGP) supplies are unaffected, carriers such as British Airways and Iberia—heavy users of Stand 522—will need to schedule GPU trucks or adjust stand allocations. Travel managers booking late-night departures should anticipate minor gate changes and potential bus‐boardings. Two companion notices (OAN 546 & 547) announce temporary closures of Pier 7 Road East and the cut-through near Stand 335, which may reroute crew coaches and GSE traffic, increasing turnaround times by up to five minutes. The alerts underscore the importance of monitoring airside infrastructure bulletins as the airport accelerates pre-winter maintenance. Corporate mobility teams with tight connection itineraries through T5 should leave extra buffer or route travellers via T3 during the affected nights.
