The work-stoppage window runs from 13:00 to 17:00 local time on 30 September. The action appears in the official strike calendar published today, 19 September. Although limited in duration, simultaneous walk-outs by controllers at multiple units could trigger flow-management regulations from Eurocontrol, resulting in slot restrictions, longer routings and missed connections for same-day return business trips. Low-cost carriers with tight turnarounds are particularly vulnerable; Ryanair and easyJet have already issued travel-waiver options. UILT-UIL accuses ENAV of stalling on a new collective labour agreement that would align pay rises with the inflation index and clarify remote-work protocols for technical staff. ENAV says negotiations are ongoing and that minimum-service guarantees required under Italian law will safeguard some intercontinental and humanitarian flights. Corporate mobility managers should advise travellers to avoid critical mid-afternoon departure banks on 30 September or to build overnight stays into itineraries. Assignees holding short-stay Schengen visas should check that a potential 24-hour delay does not push them over their authorised 90/180-day allowance.
