During the 16-hour window applicants will be unable to start, save or submit visa applications, make payments or upload supporting documents. Employers using the ImmiAccount ‘organisation’ facility for nomination and sponsorship submissions are also affected. Home Affairs recommends time-critical users file or finalise cases before 18:00 AEST Friday to avoid session time-outs. Biometrics collection at Australian Visa Application Centres overseas is unaffected. Mobility managers with deadlines linked to expiring Bridging Visas should consider lodging extensions today, while travel arrangers may face delays retrieving visa grant notices for passengers flying Friday night red-eyes.
