The UAE mission in Paris has urged Emirati citizens and residents to avoid large gatherings in the French capital over the weekend of 24 October amid heightened protest activity. In a statement released late on 23 October, the embassy advised nationals to stay away from demonstration hotspots, monitor local media and register their presence on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Twajudi” emergency-tracking service. French police expect further marches against cost-of-living pressures and Middle East tensions, some of which have turned violent in recent weeks. The advisory also reminds travellers to carry identification at all times and to heed instructions from French security forces. Travel-risk firms say the notice does not constitute a travel ban but could trigger corporate reviews of non-essential employee trips to Paris, particularly for events in central districts. Insurers note that failure to follow official embassy guidance can jeopardise emergency-assistance claims. Air connectivity between the UAE and France remains normal, with Emirates and Air France operating scheduled frequencies into Paris Charles de Gaulle. Airport transfers, however, may face delays if street demonstrations spill onto main arteries. Emiratis needing assistance can reach the embassy’s 24/7 hotline (+971 800 24) or the French police emergency number (17).
