Business-critical consignments to Spanish clients should leave before 10:00 to dodge A63 bottlenecks at Bayonne. Inbound expatriates returning from home leave may also struggle: congestion at toll barriers can create knock-on delays for car-rental drop-off and airport transfers, jeopardising Sunday evening flights out of CDG and Orly. Mobility managers should consider rail alternatives; Ouigo and TGV tickets remained available Friday afternoon, albeit at peak-season prices. Bison Futé’s outlook dovetails with Météo-France heat advisories: high temperatures amplify vehicle breakdowns and heighten fire risks along the A9 in Occitanie. Employers must remind posted workers to carry extra water and comply with company driving-time policies. Looking beyond the weekend, August’s first Saturday traditionally sees the year’s worst traffic (‘Black Saturday’). Firms assigning staff or moving household goods at month-end should lock in transport slots now and budget for overtime to meet delivery service-level agreements.
