Addressing 300 participants at the second edition of Polonia Camp near Warsaw on 24 July, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime-Minister Radosław Sikorski urged young members of the Polish diaspora to “tie your future to Poland.” He highlighted rising GDP per capita, EU-leading wage growth and booming tech start-ups as reasons why returning home—or relocating for the first time—now offers attractive career prospects. Polonia Camp, organised by the Chancellery of the Senate and co-financed by the Foreign Ministry, aims to forge stronger bonds between Poland and communities in North America, the UK and Western Europe. Workshops cover visa pathways, start-up grants and recognition of foreign diplomas; participants also meet recruiters from companies such as CD Projekt and Allegro. Government officials used the forum to preview a forthcoming “Return & Invest” package that will streamline personal-income-tax rebates for repatriates, fast-track residence permits for non-EU spouses and expand Polish-language bursaries. Details are expected in the autumn Budget Bill. For multinational employers in Poland the initiative is a potential new talent pipeline, particularly for bilingual specialists in IT, finance and engineering. HR directors should monitor legislative drafts for enhanced hiring incentives and easier Blue-Card conversions targeting Polish-heritage professionals.
