A 16–17 September mission headed by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is showcasing investment and talent-exchange opportunities at the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum (ADIF) Seoul. The 150-member delegation includes Etihad Airways, ADGM and Hub71, reflecting a whole-of-ecosystem push to court Korean capital and expertise. Talks will examine reciprocal work-permit fast-tracks under the UAE-Korea Special Strategic Partnership, alongside joint ventures in AI, hydrogen and advanced manufacturing. Bilateral non-oil trade reached US$6.9 billion in 2025, and officials aim to expand Korean company registrations in Abu Dhabi by setting up a dedicated industrial zone. For corporate-mobility planners, Korea is already a priority source of engineers for UAE nuclear and semiconductor projects; the forum is expected to announce new secondment frameworks and streamlined multiple-entry visas for Korean executives. Participants will also discuss direct Etihad flights to Busan once Zayed International Airport’s midfield terminal opens. Companies with Korean operations should track forthcoming CEPA implementation details, which may loosen capital-movement rules and ease intra-company transfers between Seoul and Abu Dhabi.
