China Southern Airlines has filed schedules reinstating an eye-catching 10 daily round-trips between Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) for the entire Northern-winter timetable (25 October 2026 – 27 March 2027). The plan, published by industry tracker AeroRoutes on 22 September, mirrors the carrier’s pre-pandemic high-season frequency and indicates confidence in Sino-Thai traffic recovery. Flights will be spread throughout the day, with the first departure at 08:05 and the last at 23:00. Equipment will vary from Airbus A320/321neos to Boeing 787-9s, offering business travellers a choice between full-service wide-body and high-density narrow-body products. The schedule also reinforces Guangzhou’s status as China Southern’s primary Southeast-Asia hub, complementing eight daily Kuala Lumpur rotations and four-daily services to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Singapore and Sydney. For corporate travel managers, the move increases seat inventory at a time when Thai investment missions to the Greater Bay Area are ramping up and Chinese firms are accelerating outbound M&A scouting in ASEAN. The frequency boost should stabilise fares and improve connection windows for onward flights across China’s domestic network. However, the filing remains “subject to change,” and slot approvals in both Guangzhou and Bangkok will need final confirmation.
