Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and corporate-services giant A&A Associate have teamed up to compress the investor-visa journey into a single working week. Announced on September 25, the ‘World’s Fastest UAE Residency’ package promises company incorporation, entry visa issuance, medicals and Emirates ID biometrics in just five working days—three of them fully remote. Under the US $4,550 bundle, A&A Associate handles stage one paperwork—including free-zone licence approval covering up to 10 commercial activities—without the applicant setting foot in the UAE. Once the entry visa is issued, the applicant flies in for a two-day whirlwind of medical fitness tests and biometric capture, walking away with a two-year investor residence permit. Family-sponsorship services are offered at discounted rates, reflecting the UAE’s push to attract full-household relocations rather than solo founders. Speed is the selling point, but the broader play is competitiveness. With Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain all upgrading investor-residence schemes, RAKEZ is leveraging its streamlined government e-channel connections to keep Ras Al Khaimah on relocation shortlists. For foreign entrepreneurs, shaving weeks off visa timelines cuts holding costs and accelerates market entry. Multinationals can also benefit. The package’s ability to spin up special-purpose vehicles in 72 hours lets corporate mobility teams deploy project entities quickly—useful for time-sensitive bids or M&A ring-fencing. However, HR should note that the visa is tied to the free-zone entity; any subsequent move to mainland operations will still require migration paperwork. Compliance remains key. While the process is rapid, applicants must supply six-month bank statements and meet fit-and-proper checks. Companies should audit source-of-funds documentation early to avoid last-minute snags that could derail the five-day promise.
