Immigration law firm Richmond Chambers released an updated fee guide on 8 October summarising Home Office charges that apply from today. The tables confirm that, after substantial rises on 8 April 2026, headline fees remain unchanged. A standard six-month Visit Visa stays at £135; Skilled Worker (up to three years) costs £819 outside the UK or £943 in-country; and naturalisation holds at £1,709. Priority services remain optional extras at £500 (Priority) and £1,000 (Super Priority), while the Electronic Travel Authorisation introduced earlier this year now costs £20. The guide reminds employers that sponsorship comes with additional charges: a large company still pays £1,682 for a sponsor licence and up to £1,320 in Immigration Skills Charge for each skilled worker’s first year. Although fees have stabilised for now, the Home Office can revise them at short notice, and the Immigration Health Surcharge—currently £1,035 per year for most categories—still applies. Businesses budgeting for assignments starting in 2027 should therefore build in contingency for further cost spikes. For HR and mobility teams, the takeaway is to budget based on the October table but continue checking official sources on the day an application is submitted, as currency conversion and local collection charges can alter the final amount.
