Reports Suggest ETIAS Launch May Slip to 2027, Prompting Cautious Response from Prague

The Czech Ministry of the Interior told daily paper Deník N that it is “monitoring developments” but continues to budget and staff for a December 2026 start. Although ETIAS UK is a commercial information site rather than an official channel, its report adds weight to wider industry chatter—including recent statements by ACI EUROPE—about the feasibility of rolling out two major border systems in consecutive years.
