Nice-Côte d’Azur invites airlines to discuss 2027 tariff increases
Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur (ACA) issued a notice on 22 July convening its legally required Commission Consultative Économique. The session – to be held later the same day – gathers airlines using Nice and Cannes-Mandelieu to review traffic forecasts, fleet mix and investment plans before ACA files its 2027-29 charging scheme with the Transport Ministry. Carriers have 15 days to submit confidential traffic and fleet data, including sustainability roadmaps and demand projections. Sources close to ACA say the operator will propose a 3.9 % average increase in passenger charges, a new ‘peak-hour scarcity’ fee for business jets and a 20 % discount for SAF-certified uplift. For global mobility programmes, the meeting is a bellwether: Nice is France’s second-busiest airport for corporate shuttles and expatriate movements, especially in the tech and luxury sectors along the Riviera. Higher aeronautical fees typically trickle down into ticket prices and handling costs. ACA’s timetable indicates the final tariff proposal will be lodged with the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile in October, entering force on 1 April 2027. Mobility managers with large volumes on the Côte-d’Azur route should lock in 24-month corporate fares now or explore rail/road alternatives for intra-European travel.
