Applicants whose files under Spain’s mass regularisation were flagged for missing or incorrect documents now have a walk-in alternative in Navarra. From 24 July until 30 September, three Correos post-office branches—Pamplona’s Paseo de Sarasate main office, Sancho el Fuerte branch and the Tudela office—will accept subsanaciones (document corrections) without prior appointment, under an agreement with the Ministry of Inclusion. The postal operator already handled 220,000 initial applications nationwide but this is the first time it pilots a face-to-face correction channel. Applicants present the tracking code of their original submission and any additional paperwork; staff scan and upload the files to the ministry’s platform in real time. The service aims to relieve oversubscribed extranjería offices—where appointments for corrections were running at six-week waits—and to prevent automatic file dismissal after the 10-day response window expires. HR teams managing employee regularisation cases should alert workers based in or near Navarra: using the Correos desks can cut processing time by up to a month compared with standard online uploads, according to ministry estimates. Correos says it will evaluate demand before rolling the model out to other regions. The initiative forms part of Correos’s legally mandated “Services of General Economic Interest” following a 2025 amendment to the Postal Law. It also strengthens the operator’s diversification strategy as it seeks new revenue streams beyond traditional mail.
