In a further tweak to its long-haul programme, LOT Polish Airlines will raise frequencies on the Warsaw-Chopin – Miami route to seven weekly rotations at the start of January 2027. The carrier currently flies the service three times a week and plans to step up to five weekly from 25 October 2026 through year-end before switching to daily operations for most of January. Frequencies will drop back to five per week from late February. The upgrade marks the highest-ever capacity LOT has dedicated to South Florida and reflects buoyant two-way demand: inbound U.S. tourists and VFR traffic on one side, Polish exporters and cruise-market passengers on the other. Miami also functions as a onestop gateway for Latin America, giving Polish corporates quicker access to regional hubs such as Bogotá and Panama City. Daily service offers mobility managers greater flexibility for short-notice trips and improves connectivity to LOT’s growing Central-Eastern European network through Warsaw. Companies should review corporate-deal allotments, as the extra seats create scope for volume-based discounts and easier reward-ticket availability. For the airport, LOT’s move helps solidify Miami’s status as the primary Southeastern U.S. entry point for Central Europe. It follows recent frequency hikes by Iberia and Lufthansa, suggesting ongoing competition among EU flag carriers for trans-Atlantic leisure and premium traffic. Travellers should note that the daily pattern is temporary; flight numbers revert to five per week in late February. Those planning conferences or cruise departures in early spring should secure seats early, as capacity tightens once the high-season uplift ends.
