Flag-carrier Finnair announced on 19 October that it will publish its January–September 2026 interim results at 09:00 EET on 27 October. CEO Turkka Kuusisto and CFO Pia Aaltonen-Forsell will present the numbers at a media briefing in Vantaa, followed by an English-language analyst call at 13:00. Although the statement was procedural, the airline hinted that passenger revenue exceeded internal forecasts thanks to "robust demand on trans-Asian and North Atlantic routes" and the full-year guidance upgrade issued on 13 October. Mobility managers can therefore expect capacity additions on Finnair’s core Helsinki–Tokyo, Seoul and Chicago sectors during the winter scheduling change on 25 October. Finnair’s performance is closely watched by multinational employers because the carrier supplies more than 40 % of non-stop intercontinental seats to and from Finland, underpinning corporate relocation flows. Analysts will look for updates on the re-launch of regional feeder flights from Turku and Tampere—which are critical for same-day connections to Asia—as well as on progress integrating Schengen Entry/Exit System (EES) kiosks at Helsinki Airport. The airline also confirmed that its fleet refurbishment programme remains on track, with the tenth Airbus A350 cabin retrofit entering service in November. The new Premium Economy cabin is marketed heavily to global mobility teams seeking cost-efficient comfort for long-haul assignees. Finnair shares have risen 8 % month-to-date on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Investors will scrutinise fuel-hedging ratios and forward-booking curves for clues about 2027 capacity planning—a key consideration for companies finalising next year’s travel budgets.
