Secondly, the cabinet endorsed a bilateral Action Plan with Italy covering 2026–2030. The document, prepared by the Foreign Ministry, pledges deeper cooperation in transport connectivity, student exchanges and labour-market matching. Among the concrete deliverables are seasonal charter corridors linking regional Czech airports to southern Italian hubs, pilot projects for mutual recognition of vocational qualifications, and an annual ‘Mobility Forum’ alternating between Prague and Rome. For mobility managers the decisions signal a forthcoming one-stop shop for investor visas, conference permits and market-entry support. HR teams relocating staff into Czechia should monitor the legislative steps needed to transfer CzechTourism’s visa-invitation authority to the new super-agency. Italian companies operating in the Czech automotive and fashion supply chains may benefit from simplified short-term work permits once the Action Plan is transposed into national regulations. While the headlines were dominated by budget debates, these under-the-radar approvals show Prague’s intent to compete aggressively for post-pandemic talent and events. The Ministry of Industry and Trade says draft implementation guidelines will be published for consultation in November, giving businesses a chance to shape the new mobility architecture.
