LATAM Airlines Brasil has opened sales for its first batch of flights operated by the Embraer E195-E2, the next-generation regional jet that will begin flying for the carrier in November 2026. In the initial tranche, up to 14 aircraft will be phased in between November 2026 and March 2027, allowing LATAM to launch service to Cabo Frio (RJ), Ji-Paraná (RO), Macaé (RJ) and Rondonópolis (MT) and to expand frequencies on 38 existing domestic routes. The 136-seat E195-E2s will be configured with both Premium Economy and Economy cabins, offering USB-C power, on-board Wi-Fi and access to LATAM Play entertainment. According to CEO Jerome Cadier, the aircraft’s 25 % fuel-burn improvement over current E190s and 20 % lower maintenance cost unlock marginal regional markets that were previously uneconomic. By March 2027 LATAM expects to serve 67 Brazilian destinations—its largest domestic network ever—and is evaluating up to 18 additional cities for a second growth wave in 2027–28. For corporate travel managers the announcement expands same-day business-trip options from São Paulo/Guarulhos into mid-sized industrial hubs such as Rondonópolis, a logistics gateway for agribusiness exporters, and Macaé, heart of Brazil’s offshore-oil services sector. Early-bird fares are already loaded in the GDS, and LATAM says negotiated corporate discounts will apply on the new routes. The move also deepens the strategic partnership between two Brazilian champions: LATAM and Embraer. The carrier has 24 firm orders and 50 options for the E195-E2, with deliveries running through 2029. Embraer will provide a power-by-the-hour support package and a dedicated spare-parts pool in São José dos Campos, ensuring high dispatch reliability—crucial for time-sensitive business travellers.
