France Travail Hosts Erasmus+ Mobility Webinar, Targeting Job-Seekers Eyeing 2-to-6-Month European Placements
France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi) used 22 July 2026 to launch a nationwide information blitz for its “Un Tremplin pour l’Emploi” programme, which funds 2- to 6-month Erasmus+ work placements across 32 European countries. A virtual presentation and separate collective information session attracted hundreds of job-seekers from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with individual interviews scheduled for 28–30 July. Participants keep their French unemployment benefits, receive EU-funded travel and housing grants and obtain the Europass Mobilité certificate attesting to skills acquired abroad. The scheme also provides language assessment, online courses and repatriation insurance – features that lower the administrative barrier for short-term international assignments. From a corporate-mobility perspective, the initiative enlarges the talent pool of candidates with international exposure and pre-existing right-to-work status in the EU/EEA. Employers can onboard trainees without navigating visa bureaucracy, while beneficiaries add cross-border project experience that accelerates their employability for future expatriate roles. France Travail said it will replicate the 22 July webinar in every region by September to align with the academic calendar. Companies interested in hosting Erasmus+ trainees can register via a new online portal that matches job profiles to host organisations. The agency emphasised that placements can be remote-first provided at least 50 % of hours are worked in the destination country, a flexibility designed to fit hybrid workplace norms. Global-mobility teams should monitor upcoming regional sessions and consider integrating the programme into early-career mobility pipelines or diversity-in-international-assignments initiatives, since the scheme imposes no age cap and actively encourages applications from under-represented groups.
