The Interior Ministry’s Directorate-General for Foreign Nationals (DGEF) concluded its fifth annual Integration Week on 9 October after staging more than 870 events across metropolitan France and the overseas territories. Workshops ranged from CV-writing clinics in Lille to employer-speed-dating sessions at Station F in Paris, targeting recent arrivals with refugee, family-reunion and Talent-Passport status. Preliminary figures show 12 000 participants, up 25 % on last year, with strong corporate involvement: companies such as Schneider Electric and Capgemini offered on-the-spot internship interviews, and the Franco-German Chamber ran a webinar on recognising foreign professional qualifications. For mobility managers, Integration Week is evolving into a practical onboarding resource: several préfectures now issue appointment fast-tracks to attendees who complete employment workshops, shortening wait times for residence-permit renewals. Employers should encourage assignees arriving between now and year-end to register for the 2027 edition once dates are released. DGEF announced plans to expand the model to an “Integration Month” next year, with a digital platform aggregating language-learning, housing and job-matching services.
