In line with the federal Zero Government Bureaucracy programme, MoHRE on 27 July 2026 launched a new suite of Domestic-Worker Services on the ‘Work Bundle’ digital platform. Developed with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) and other agencies, the upgrade lets employers complete medical checks, Emirates ID enrolment and residency-visa issuance for maids, nannies and drivers through a single online form. Previously, sponsors had to navigate up to nine separate websites or visit typing centres multiple times. The new workflow reduces physical visits to zero, cuts required documents by 50 per cent and integrates payment into one portal. Average processing time is expected to fall from 10 working days to 48 hours once the system is fully scaled. For multinational companies relocating executives to the UAE, the enhancement simplifies a common pain point—obtaining helper visas before school terms start. HR teams can delegate the entire process to relocation partners with verified UAE Pass credentials, improving onboarding timelines and employee satisfaction. The platform includes safeguards such as biometric verification and real-time data exchange between ICP, MoHRE and Emirates Health Services, reducing the risk of forged medical certificates or duplicate visa files. Authorities plan to roll out similar bundles for investor visas and Golden Visa renewals later this year. Stakeholders say the initiative cements the UAE’s reputation for digital-first government and could become a regional benchmark for integrated mobility services, lowering compliance costs for both households and corporations.
