Travellers holding Air France or SkyTeam tickets dated through early August can request refunds or rerouting via Paris to alternative Asian or African gateways without change fees. Corporate mobility teams should proactively identify personnel booked through the affected hubs and assess critical-path shipments that depend on belly-hold capacity out of São Paulo-Guarulhos. Aviation analysts note that Brazilian exports of perishables and pharmaceuticals rely heavily on wide-body connections through Gulf super-hubs; even temporary suspensions can tighten outbound cargo space and lift prices. Insurers may also re-rate war-risk premiums for aircraft operating eastbound over the Red Sea, costs that are typically passed on to shippers. For employers the practical takeaway is clear: rebuild contingency routings via Johannesburg, Addis Ababa or Madrid, and brief travellers that schedules may change again on short notice as the security picture evolves.
