Smaller care homes and start-ups granted A-rating licences this week will need to demonstrate that they can pay workers at least the £41,700 general threshold (or any higher ‘going-rate’) to avoid early compliance action. Conversely, licence suspensions highlight the Home Office’s continued focus on under-payment and record-keeping breaches.
