Second, employers now have clarity that CAD 52/hour (approximately CAD 108,000 annually) is the wage floor until at least the next scheduled review in April 2027. Finally, invited candidates will have 30 days to submit a full application—an important timeline for HR teams assisting assignees with document collection, translations and police clearances. What’s next? Processing under the Innovate stream remains fast by PNP standards: the province’s last quarterly report showed 80 % of complete files finalized within 10 weeks. After receiving a provincial nomination, candidates will upload their confirmation letter to the federal permanent-residence portal and apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit if their existing work status will expire within 6 months. Employers should budget approximately six to nine months from ITA to permanent-resident visa issuance, depending on medical and security clearances. In practical terms, multinational firms with high-value talent in Vancouver or Victoria may wish to accelerate internal referrals to the Innovate stream before federal admissions caps tighten in Q1 2027. The province has hinted that a dedicated “green jobs” pilot may replace the broad Innovate category next year, which could make this autumn one of the last opportunities to secure straightforward nominations for senior managers and tech professionals across sectors.
