India’s Ministry of Ayush announced on 19 September 2026 that its ‘Ayush Grid’ digital platforms—including the medical-value-travel site used by foreign nationals applying for Ayush (traditional medicine) visas—are now fully integrated with the government’s Bhashini artificial-intelligence translation engine. The integration automatically renders application forms, accreditation lists and hospital search functions into 22 scheduled Indian languages, making it easier for domestic facilitators to assist inbound patients and wellness tourists who may not speak English or Hindi. The ministry said regional-language support had been one of the top requests from tour operators since the Ayush (M-3) visa category launched earlier this year. While foreign applicants will still complete the final visa form in English, the multilingual interface reduces errors in preliminary data collection and helps hospitals outside major metros tap new markets. For example, Ayurveda centres in Kerala can now publish treatment packages in Malayalam, attracting a broader set of local facilitators who arrange travel for international clients. Global mobility teams in the healthcare and insurance sectors should update their knowledge bases to reflect the AI-enabled language options and advise partners that region-specific content—such as package pricing and hospital accreditation status—may appear first in a local language before toggling back to English. The ministry plans to add voice-based navigation next year, further lowering access barriers for visually impaired users and older applicants.
