My Case portal downtime tonight: IRCC schedules three-hour maintenance window for 27 July
The Immigration and Refugee Board has confirmed that its client portal “My Case” will be offline from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Monday 27 July for scheduled maintenance. Users will be unable to log in or upload documents during that period. The outage affects refugee claimants, appeals and immigration consultants who rely on the platform to view hearing dates and submit evidence. IRCC’s transition binder notes that future digital upgrades aim to reduce such downtime, but for now applicants should plan submissions around the blackout. Corporate mobility teams with active refugee or sponsorship files should warn employees to download any needed documents in advance. Filing deadlines that fall on the maintenance window will not automatically be extended. Missing a deadline could trigger abandonment of an appeal or refusal of a claim. Tonight’s maintenance is part of a rolling schedule that lists additional outages on 17 August and 8 September. Organisations with high-volume caseloads may wish to build these windows into their compliance calendars to avoid last-minute scrambles.
