Within France, unplanned engineering overruns mean some services face speed limits south of Lille, while crowding at Paris-Gare-du-Nord is causing platform-allocation cascades. Eurostar has activated its ‘hot-swap’ contingency, positioning spare Class 374 trainsets at Le Landy depot to keep the evening peak moving, but warns that short-notice cancellations remain possible through Sunday night. Business travellers with connecting meetings should allow additional buffer time and ensure e-tickets are re-downloaded before boarding, as train numbers on PDFs may change during automatic re-booking. Corporate mobility teams should also remind posted workers that proof of assignment letters may be requested by French border police during peak-hour congestion while the Entry/Exit kiosks remain in “manual capture” fallback.
